Usher's OMG Tour To Launch In November

Usher's 25-date arena tour will start on November 10 in Seattle.

Usher will reward his fans' patience in November when he finally kicks off the long-awaited tour in support of his platinum Raymond v. Raymond album. Though it won't feature Chris Brown as recently rumored, Usher is promising a major show for the 25-date North American arena tour that kicks off on November 10 in Seattle.

"Songs like 'OMG,' 'DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love,' 'There Goes My Baby,' 'Papers,' 'Daddy's Home,' 'Lil Freak' with Nicki Minaj and 'Hot Tottie' with Jay-Z have dominated the airwaves since last February," said Randy Phillips, president & CEO of AEG Live, the promoter behind the tour. "Now is the time for one of our greatest entertainers to go live and we are thrilled to be part of the ultimate Usher experience. Usher is bringing his fans an evening they will not soon forget. This will be the 'Must See' concert tour of 2010!"

The singer, who is on tap to perform at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards, will be on the road through late December, hitting major cities from Las Vegas and Los Angeles to Dallas, Detroit, Chicago and Boston, wrapping things up on December 18 with a show at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Tickets will go on sale beginning September 17, with more information on opening acts and tour details available at Usherworld.com.

Who Needs Jon & Kate? TLC Forges Ahead with Sarah Palin and Sister Wives

As of last year, the highest-rated show in TLC's history was the Season 5 premiere of Jon & Kate Plus 8. No doubt Jon Gosselin rattled some network bosses when he decided to yank himself and his kids off the air shortly thereafter!

At some point during the tense negotiations with Gosselin, those TLC executives probably wondered, "Is there life after Jon & Kate Plus 8?" A year and a half later, the answer turns out to be: Heck yeah.

This Sunday night's lineup says it all. TLC is airing new episodes of three ratings-grabbers in a row: 19 Kids and Counting: Duggars Make a Movie (8 p.m. ET); Sarah Palin's Alaska (9 p.m. ET); and Sister Wives: Honeymoon Special (10 p.m. ET).

Each week, The Duggars attract over a million viewers. Sister Wives averages over two million.  (The season finale attracted 2.7 million.) And the premiere episode of Sarah Palin's Alaska attracted nearly 5 million viewers, breaking new ratings records for TLC.  

Clearly, TLC has learned a thing or two about how to attract viewers. Their former calling card -- wedding and baby stories -- was fine, but igniting debates on polarizing subjects is much more lucrative.

Should people have more children than they can fit in a minivan? (Or three minivans?) Are polygamous families just like the rest of us, despite their illegal status? (Even when the show itself provokes a police investigation?) Is Palin a genuine, country-loving mom, or a calculating, political operative? We could debate these issues for years, and that's what the network is counting on. With all due respect to Jon and Kate, TLC doesn't need them anymore. They've found their controversy-courting formula, and they're sticking with it.

Daniel Radcliffe Felt 'Great Responsibility' During 'Deathly Hallows'

'We're not in school ... so we automatically feel more adult,' he tells MTV News of the three leads.

Remember those long-ago days in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" when the young boy wizard first entered the hallowed halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? The time Harry and Ron became best buds on the train out of King's Cross? How Harry and Hermione first clashed as Gryffindor housemates before eventually bonding?

What a difference a decade makes. The first part of "Deathly Hallows," based on J.K. Rowling's seventh book in the series, finds the three friends far from the safety and supervision of Hogwarts, fitfully bidding goodbye to their adolescent lives and embracing adulthood. Portraying that tricky transition, Daniel Radcliffe told MTV News, is exactly what makes this film "very special," setting it apart from previous installments.

"We're not in school, we're not in school uniforms, so it's harder to see us as schoolkids, so we automatically feel more adult," he said. "It was kind of great to have that responsibility."

Yet the 21-year-old is quick to add that he and his castmates didn't feel overwhelmed by the pressure of having the success or failure of the movie rest entirely on their young shoulders. "One day we'd be doing maybe a scene with just me and Emma or just myself and Rupert," Radcliffe explained. "But later, we'd be doing the wedding scene with everybody. That's one pressure we didn't feel, was that we were carrying the movie, which we kind of are when you see it. For a lot of it, it is just us three."

The Brit actor also credits director David Yates with shooting their scenes and piecing them together in such a way that the kids' journey — in which they travel through the wilderness in a quest to destroy a magically evil Horcrux — never feels repetitive.

"That's what's great about David as a storyteller," Radcliffe said. "Those long periods of the film where we just keep operating and waking up in a forest — while those could have felt quite same-y, the journey of the film means each time that happens, it takes on a different tone."
